A mainly cloudy day, although there will be some brightness, especially over Orkney. There will also be a scattering of showers, especially over Shetland with fresh, occasionally strong, west or southwest winds. Maximum temperature 08°C (46°F).

Still mostly cloudy although there will be some cloud breaks for a time. Remaining rather windy with cloud thickening enough to bring rain to Shetland later in the night. Minimum temperature 04°C (39°F).

Rain will become quite heavy for a time and spread to Orkney too. Becoming brighter in the afternoon with rain clearing to showers as fresh northwesterly winds develop. Maximum temperature 07°C (45°F).

Some bright or sunny spells, but mainly cloudy and rather breezy with scattered showers. These could be heavy and prolonged at times, especially Friday night and during Saturday.
